Job summary

The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) has a new opportunity to work as a Digital Engagement Content Designer in the Data, Technology & Development Directorate, Permanent contract.

This role will report into Head of Communication and Engagement. The jobholder will be responsible for producing, editing and publishing content for a wide range of communication channels including intranet, social media, SharePoint, internal products, external products, video and podcasts. The post holder will work across all HTA directorates, contributing to the successful delivery of the Communications and Engagement Strategy and BAU digital communications and engagement activities.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work across all HTA directorates, contributing to the successful delivery of the Communications and Engagement Strategy and BAU digital communications and engagement activities. A proactive, strategic and delivery-driven approach to the role is needed as the organisation delivers its ambitious communication strategy. This is a diverse cross directorate role which requires creativity, organisation, first class design, digital and social media skills as well as good oral and written communications skills. You will also need to be flexible in responding to emerging priorities

This is an exciting time to join the HTA as we implement our ambitious vision and strategy for the next 3 years centred on achieving greater sustainability, agility and resilience in our operations. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the HTA has accelerated changes already identified in our Development Programme, which includes 6 workstreams to further improve our digital footprint and how we utilise data and intelligence both internally and across the sector. This plays in our model and the regulatory offer to the sectors and establishments we license.

· You will work according to HTA style standards and add significant value to our communications activity;

· Produce, edit and publish content for a wide range of communication channels including intranet, social media, SharePoint, internal products, external products, video and podcasts

· Manage Intranet, website, social media, SharePoint and Teams channels to maximise the impact of our messaging

· You will work across multiple channels, using insight and evaluation to provide business-like recommendations about value-for-money and effectiveness of channel choice;

· Work collaboratively with senior colleagues effectively driving through communication products at pace;

· Monitor and track communication performance through a monthly evaluation report and dashboard

· Develop and maintain trusting close working relationships

There will be a three-stage interview process, beginning with a virtual first stage interview.

Applications selected for shortlist will be invited for a virtual ‘meet and greet’ session with prospective colleagues.

There will be no shortlisting process conducted from second to final stage interview.

The final stage interview will be competency-based interview. Candidates are encouraged to use the ‘STAR’ (Situation, Task, Action, Result) method when responding to competency questions, using relevant examples.
