An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse role here at Sandybrook Nursing Home. Sandybrook Nursing Home is part of the Intermediate Care Group, Health and Community Services. It is the only Government of Jersey run Nursing Home. We are situated in the Parish of St Peter in the lovely island of Jersey. We are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years post registration experience, a motivated and dynamic individual to join our care team. The successful candidate will have a passion for care of the elderly and be a role model to team members, able to ensure delivery of care of the highest standard and in keeping with the standards and regulations as governed by the Jersey Nursing Assessment Accreditation System and our Independent Regulators The Jersey Care Commission. Being a part of the Government of Jersey Health and Community Services, you will be able to continually develop by way of the training opportunities available both in-house and within the training facilities within the Jersey General Hospital.
Main duties of the job
This role operates across a range of clinical areas within the acute and community services. Individuals at this level will be able to plan and deliver care for complex or high risk patients within their caseload and will give guidance and support to less experienced staff. They may be required to take charge of the ward or team and will be able to lead with confidence

The post holder will keep fully up to date with developments within own professional discipline and
maintain an adequate awareness of developments in clinical and nursing practice and will share
clinical knowledge and experience.
The post holder will contribute to the development of a philosophy of care which encourages the
