Job summary
We are a forward thinking organisation and are looking to recruit a number of Theatre Practitioners who are highly motivated and open to change. This post is suitable for a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, who is skilled in scrub, anaesthetic and recovery practice and the associated duties working within the surgical theatres at Jersey General Hospital. Our theatres cover a wide range of specialities including General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery elective and Trauma, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Urology, ENT & Max Fax, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Dental including. We also provide 24 hour emergency cover for the island and its residents. We have eight surgical theatres, two of which are dedicated day surgery and a minor operations unit.
The post will also be part of the trauma and arrest team, this will involve working alongside the anaesthetist in Accident and Emergency department and outlying areas. We have a fantastic team of staff and they would be fully supportive of new any new member. Main duties of the job
- You will need to possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to promote a learning environment.

- Ensure adherence to agreed local, organisational and national policies.
- Some rotation and flexibility will be required to meet service needs.
- The post holder will be expected to participate in internal rotation, weekends, nights and unsocial hours.
