Job summary

The Surgical Floor is looking for a Staff Nurse to join our team. We are a 26 bedded mixed speciality unit covering all General Surgery with 6 bedded theatre direct admissions lounge. There is an opportunity to also work in hot clinic supporting the emergency surgeon in preventing inpatient admissions. This post includes shift work during days and nights. We offer on island education through Robert Gordon University in Scotland. This includes degree, masters and standalone modules. Aside from academic education we can also offer development in clinical skills. Main duties of the job

This role operates across a range of clinical areas within the acute and community services. Individuals at this level will be able to plan and deliver care for complex or high risk patients within their caseload and will give guidance and support to less experienced staff. They may be required to take charge of the ward or team and will be able to lead with confidence
