Job summary

We are a forward-thinking organisation and are looking to recruit a grade 5 Team Leader (equivalent to a grade 6 NHS UK as we have a different grade structure in Jersey). The qualifications required are a Registered Nurse (with anaesthetic course) or Operating Department Practitioner, who is skilled in anaesthetic and recovery practice with a focus on our emergency service and the associated duties within Jersey General Hospital. You must be able to lead a team in liaison with the theatre manager. The role requires you to be proactive with a keen eye for detail, excellent leadership and communication skills. The candidate will be able to educate, motivate and manage an effective team. Also the candidate should be proactive and confident practitioner who is able to commit to this dynamic role and navigate the changing demands of our healthcare environment. Main duties of the job

The post holder will deliver and develop a specialist service for a group of patients with a defined set of conditions involving technical interventions and the provision of advice within a multi-disciplinary framework. This will involve developing and maintaining a high clinical profile and presence and acting as role model for other nursing staff.

The post holder will be a highly experienced practitioner within the multi-disciplinary team and will contribute to the development of a clinical service through involvement in standard setting and the development and dissemination of expertise within both the clinical and education settings.
