Job summary
We are a forward thinking organisation and are looking to recruit a number of Theatre Practitioners who are highly motivated and open to change. This post is suitable for a Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, who is skilled scrub theatre practice and the associated duties working within the surgical theatres at Jersey General Hospital.
Our theatres cover a wide range of specialities including General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery elective and Trauma, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Urology, ENT & Max Fax, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Dental including. We also provide 24 hour emergency cover for the island and its residents. We have eight surgical theatres, two of which are dedicated day surgery and a minor operations unit.

Main duties of the job
This role operates across a range of clinical areas within the acute and community services. You will
plan and deliver an effective and competent level of care, be fully aware of the needs of the patients
and drive the standard in patient care.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across other department to ensure the continuity in patient
care, acting as a role model for colleagues, patients, and relatives. Supervise the care given by
Healthcare Assistants and provide guidance and training as appropriate.
