Job summary

Would you like to work on a ward with good staff to patient ratios , MDT working, only a 10 min commute to work and help open a new Article 36 suite, Jersey Mental Health Law 2016 (UK equivalent section 136 suite) If so, we have three exciting opportunities within our Adult Mental Health Services, for motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurses to join our multi disciplinary teams as a Charge nurse. These posts operate across a range of clinical areas including rotational duties as senior nurse for the Article 36 suite . The role also involves supporting the ward manager across a range of clinical and managerial responsibilities. Acting as a role model you will demonstrate the ability to apply research and evidence to promote best practice and ensure high quality of care to the patients. Individuals at this level will be able to assess, plan and implement care for high-risk individuals within an inpatient setting and give guidance and supervision to less experienced staff.

Main duties of the job

As a 1st. Level Registered Mental Health Nurse, you will require at least 2 years recent experience within this specialist area. There are roles for three suitably qualified / experienced nurses across the acute adult, acute older adult, and dementia assessment wards.
