A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and innovated dental therapist to join the general hospitals community dental department on the beautiful Island of Jersey.We are looking for a therapist to support our already skilled staff group in maintaining high levels of clinical oversight, developing practices in line with new learning and supporting the departments business plan for clinical development.
Main duties of the job
ou will be a dental therapist with professional accountability to help plan, deliver, and evaluate the care we provide, who loves creating an environment that promotes fun and laughter to encourage and support our service users.The suitable candidate must hold a Dental therapist qualification, be registered with the GDC and Jersey Care Commission. You will have the resilience to work independently and as part of our multi-disciplinary team, will demonstrate reliability, adaptability, self- reliance, inner drive and the ability to problem solve. Jersey has been a Crown Dependency since 1290, which means its not part of the UK but a self-governing possession of The Crown. Jersey has its own democratically elected parliament, government, tax system, and laws. However, the island does have a close historic relationship with France and the UK and relies on the UK for defence and international relations. It is also part of the Common Travel Area (CTA) which allows British citizens to move freely between the UK, Republic of Ireland, and the Channel Islands without a passport.
Jersey offers extensive and quality healthcare services, with private and state supported options available. The NHS is not available in Jersey, healthcare services are delivered by Health and Community Services. For the first 6 months, health care services will be provided at an added cost.
To provide a wide rande of dental treatment including all extended duities appropiate to a registeres ( with the General Denta Council GDC) dentil therapist at the request of detist working within the Health and Community Services dental department.
