Job summary

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and experienced Community Mental Health Professional to join the Older Persons Mental Health Service (OPMHS) based at Nobles Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The OPMHS team provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment, along with education and support, to people over the age of 70 years of age, with severe and enduring mental health needs and people of any age with cognitive decline due to a dementia diagnosis. If you have a caring nature, a passion for supporting others and want to make a meaningful impact on the lives of Older People facing mental health challenges, wed love to hear from you!

  • Occupational Therapists: BSc or equivalent in Occupational Therapy; Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Social Workers: Social Work qualification (CQSW, DIPSW, Degree); Approved Social Worker status under the Isle of Man Mental Health Act 1998 or the capability and willingness to undertake training to gain this qualification within a 3-year specified period, or if employed from other jurisdiction Approval under other jurisdictions requirements and portfolio evidence to support this; Registration with Social Work England (SWE)
