Are you a Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our progressive, innovative Specialist Diabetes Nursing Team as a Band 6 Diabetes Specialist Nurse.

Main duties of the job

Based in the Specialist Diabetes Team in the Manx Centre for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Nobles Hospital, you will be a first point of contact for patients, providing specialist care to people with diabetes, their family and carers across the Isle of Man. You will also be provided the resources to help develop and deliver structured education for fellow health care professionals in primary, community and secondary care settings. This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in Diabetes Care in a supported environment, with access to learning opportunities and accredited courses. You will be joining our flexible, happy and friendly team where teamwork and support is our main ethos, and development and progression are always encouraged!

  • Diploma in relevant Health Care Studies or willing to work towards within 12 months of commencing the role
  • Nursing qualification at degree level or equivalent level of nursing experience
  • Possesses or willing to work towards a recognised teaching and assessing qualification within 18 months of commencing the role
