About the role

Manx Care is a pioneering independent organisation, operating at arm’s length from the Isle of Man Government, dedicated to delivering health and statutory social care services across the Island. We were established on April 1, 2021, employ over 3,300 dedicated staff, providing a comprehensive range of services including hospital care at Noble’s Hospital and Ramsey District Cottage Hospital, Integrated Mental Health Services, Social Care, the Isle of Man Ambulance Service, and Primary Care and Community Services. We are an ambitious organisation committed to integrating services to deliver safe, high-quality, and effective care, ensuring future sustainability for our population’s health and wellbeing. Reporting directly to our Chief Executive, Teresa Cope, we are seeking an Executive Director for People and Workforce, to lead and deliver our People, Culture, and Engagement Strategy. This is a unique opportunity to establish this new voting Board role and develop a strategy that places staff and patients at the centre, ensuring that Manx Care is a great place to work. You will play a crucial strategic role in transforming and improving our people services while working closely with the Office of Human Resources (OHR), a shared service of the Isle of Man Government that provides our transactional HR services.

As our new Executive Director for People and Workforce, you will bring leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder health or social care environments, with a proven track record of shaping organisational culture, improving staff engagement and creating empowering, innovative environments. You will bring the ability to influence at Board level and across organisational boundaries as an inspirational, values-driven leader. Your passion for equality, diversity and inclusion, coupled with your ability to navigate political and structural complexities, will enable you to build trust with our clinical and corporate teams, stakeholders, and partners. Most importantly, you will share our values and ambition to shape high-quality health and care services for the future. • Masters Degree level education or equivalent experience
