Acute Therapies is an integrated team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists working within the multidisciplinary team at Nobles Hospital and Ramsey & District Cottage Hospital.

About the role and our team

Join our team as a Band 5 (Annex T) / Band 6 Rotational Occupational Therapist!

Acute Therapies is an integrated team of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists working within the multidisciplinary team at Noble’s Hospital and Ramsey & District Cottage Hospital.

This is offered as a development Band 5 role (Annex T) and is a great opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge. You’ll be providing evidence-based assessment, treatment, follow up, evaluation and consultancy services for service users with the support initially from senior clinician, progressing to be an autonomous practitioner.

If you’re already a Band 6, this is a really varied role, providing fantastic opportunities to gain a wide range of experience and expand your skillset.

You’ll join our dynamic and forward-thinking team that strives to deliver the best health care to our service users.

If you want a job that offers a varied caseload, where you have more time to spend with patients, and where you’ll have access to excellent resources and equipment, then this could be the role for you!

By joining us you’ll be stepping away from NHS pressures and demands, as the Island’s healthcare system is similar but separate to the UK NHS.

Be promoted to Band 6 within 2 years! The Band 5 Annex T posts are development posts where you will undergo a period of preceptorship with the aim of gaining the competencies required to fulfil a Band 6 position. During this period you will be assessed at 6, 12, and 24 months and if you meet the competencies there will be an increase in your salary. You will progress onto Band 6 once you have the full competencies for this role.

You’ll also have access to our in-house learning and development centre to complete training courses to allow you to build on and develop your skills. You can find out more about our learning and development facilities here.
