Would you love to work in a stunning location, somewhere that offers great career development and where you can achieve a fantastic work-life balance? Our aim is to play a key part in achieving Manx Care's vision of the Isle of Man becoming the best, small island-based health and care system. To help us achieve this vision, we are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable, driven and forward-thinking Associate Specialist / Consultant in Community Paediatrics to join our supportive team at Nobles Hospital! Our terms and conditions are not Agenda for Change; however our pay bands equate to the UK NHS bands and have advantageous pay scales.
Main duties of the job
Nobles Hospital is a modern, well equipped District General Hospital on the outskirts of Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man. There is a total complement of 318 beds including a Private Patient Unit. There is a small cottage hospital in the north of the island (Ramsey) in which some clinics and operating sessions are carried out; in addition to a Minor Injuries Unit. This post aims to support improved direct Consultant / Associate Specialist supervised and delivered care on a day to day basis (in line with RCPCH Acute Care Standards) and continuity and efficiency of care on an annual basis. The working ethos of the team is such that all Consultants and Associate Specialists will contribute when possible to the continuity of care of cases in their complex caseload, particularly complex cases and sub-speciality cases such as Diabetes and Oncology.
