Main duties of the job

The Long Term Conditions Therapy Team is a multi-disciplinary team made up of (but not limited) to psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietitians and generic therapy instructors working with patients diagnosed with a long term condition. As Team Lead, you will be responsible for the leadership, planning and operational issues, education and human resource management of the Long Term Conditions Therapy Team. Using your expert knowledge and clinical reasoning skills, you will also provide a highly skilled clinical service to patients with complex long term conditions, using evidence based patient centred principles. This will involve seeing patients in order to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan. Clinical areas within the speciality include ME/CFS, Long Covid, Neurological, Respiratory and Chronic Pain. The Long Term Conditions Therapy Team also works closely alongside other professional areas such as, GPs with specialist interest, MSK Physiotherapy and the Pain Management Team.
