About the role and our team

We are looking for a skilled, dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Paediatric Diabetes Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Children’s Community Nursing Service as we evolve and increase our service provision.

In this role you will be providing expert advice and support to children and young people with diabetes and their families, both in the community and hospital settings. You will be able to develop your existing knowledge and skills in supporting children and their families with managing diabetes by delivering a structured education programme. You will also act as a professional resource for the multidisciplinary team.

Our team consists of a Band 7 Specialist Nurse and is supported by a Consultant, Speciality Doctor and Paediatric Dietician. This is an exciting time to join our service as you will work with the team to continue to develop and enhance the service we provide ensuring our patients are receiving high quality care.

This is also an excellent development opportunity for experienced Paediatric Nurses, who are not experienced in diabetes, to undertake a professional qualification in diabetes so you can develop as a Specialist Nurse.

A relocation package of up to £7,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. Essential

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Registered Sick Childrens Nurse.
• Specialist Diabetes Qualification at Diploma/Degree level or equivalent experience.
