About the role and our team
We are looking for a Senior Sister / Charge Nurse (Band 7) to lead and manage our 5 bedded Coronary Care Unit which provides care for our island patients with cardiology conditions!
We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic individual with the ability to enable and empower their team. Strong leadership and performance management is an integral aspect of this band 7 role with patient experience and patient safety underpinning all aspects of the ward running efficiently and effectively.
You will be responsible for the nursing establishment, managing attendance, appraisals, mandatory training and competency assessments as well as the operational running of the ward and all it encompasses. As the lead for the area you will need to provide assurance that standards of care are met and sustained for every patient, every time.
You will have a 24 hour continuing responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the ward/department. They will provide professional, clinical, managerial leadership and supervision for the nursing team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining a ward or departments philosophy that has the patient at the centre of compassionate safe and quality care delivery.

We offer competitive salaries which tend to be higher than UK salaries with opportunities for annual pay increases for many roles. We offer shift allowances of:
Time + 30% for work after 8pm
Time + 60% for work on Sundays and Bank Holidays
You will enjoy generous annual leave entitlement starting at 27 days and 10 public holidays
For candidates not on the Isle of Man we will reimburse your interview expenses and give you a relocation package of up to £7,000 to get you, your things and your family to the island. You will also be eligible for housing assistance to help contribute towards your mortgage or rent on the island
For those relocating or returning to the island you will receive a refund on your national insurance contributions made in your first year, this could be up to £4,400!
