Job summary

Main duties of the job

1. Ensure that all practice and professional activity meets with NMC and HCPC codes of Conduct 2. Through effective clinical leadership be able to inspire, motivate and empower others 3. Act as a positive role model with regards to attitude, conduct and presentation. 4. Be responsible for the assessment of perioperative care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients to ensure delivery of a high dtandard of care on every shift 5. In the absence of the Operating Department Manager assume responsibility for the management of daily operational responsibilities in the department, including work allocation, deployment and supervision of staff to ensure the smooth running of the area 6. In conjunction with Operating Department Manager and Theatre Education Lead set, monitor and evaluate standards of care within defined policies, procedures, standards and protocols to ensure adherence to and delivery of a high quality service

Join our team as an Orthopaedic Theatre Team Leader at Nobles Hospital on the Isle of Man!

Within this role, you will provide experienced and professional leadership to the theatre team and be responsible for the effective first line management of practitioners, ensuring they are adequately trained, educated and skilled, and that all professional practice is in accordance with the appropriate codes of practice.

You will be responsible for assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating clinical care within the perioperative environment and support patients through investigation, diagnosis, treatment and beyond.

This role allows you to utilise your leadership experience through teaching junior and unqualified staff, ensuring development needs are identified, met and a cohesive multidisciplinary team approach is maintained.

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual, with good organisation and communication skills to inspire, motivate and support our close knit team. If you would like to make a difference to patient care, service delivery and education, then this is the role for you!

You will also have access to our Learning, Education and Development Centre and the fantastic range of fully funded courses we support.

We know changing jobs can be daunting at times so we have a social buddy scheme at Noble’s whereby if you are successful, you will be paired up with a fellow Nurse buddy who can show you the ropes and help you settle in here at Noble’s.
