An opportunity has arisen within our Dementia Care and Support Services for a caring, enthusiastic and compassionate nurse to join our team on the Isle of Man. Thie Meanagh is a short-term transitional service which offers specialist care and support to service users living with dementia.

About the role and our team

Are you a Registered Nurse looking to take the next step in your career within a supportive and professionally rewarding environment?

An opportunity has arisen within our Dementia Care and Support Services for a caring, enthusiastic and compassionate nurse to join our team on the Isle of Man.

Thie Meanagh is a short-term transitional service which offers specialist care and support to service users living with dementia. Thie Meanagh offers a step up, step down and outreach support service:

Step up: Provides short-term care and support for Service Users who have a diagnosis of Dementia and have behaviours which are deemed to be challenging

Step down: Provides intermediate support for people living with Dementia and/or challenging behaviour, who have been assessed and treated in an acute Mental Health facility until their symptoms have been stabilised and their planned care pathway indicates that they would benefit from specialist short term support

Outreach support: Offers support, expert guidance and practical solutions for staff supporting people living with dementia

This is a varied and multifaceted role where you will have the opportunity to work with various members of the multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include being responsible for the day-to-day coordination of shifts and active participation with the outreach support service as directed by a senior nurse.

You’ll be joining our supportive and dedicated team of care staff and auxiliary staff, working together to provide compassionate holistic care, with an emphasis on person-centred care.

Ideally you will have the RMN/RNMH qualification, however if you don’t but you are a First-Level Registered Nurse with knowledge of dementia, experience in managing risk and the ability to share relevant knowledge with other providers we’d love to hear from you.
