You will lead the Commissioning Team, providing expert advice and guidance, direction, and support to ensure the commissioning function's effective operation and delivery.

Main duties of the job

You will play an essential role in advising and assuring Manx Care on delivery and performance against the Mandate, overseeing commissioning plans through strategic leadership and guidance. You will make a significant contribution to the overall health and social care strategy for the Island. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to help shape the Isle of Man's health and social care strategy, ensuring it is fit for purpose and sustainable for the future.

Desirable

  • Qualification equivalent to Regulated Qualification Framework
  • (RQF) Level 5 or degree level in Procurement or Commissioning, or hold a management qualification (Level 5 or equivalent) with evidence of continuing professional development in a related field

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in a commissioning role, ideally across health and social care
  • Knowledge and significant demonstrable contract design and management experience
  • Proven and demonstrable leadership experience
  • Experience of commissioning for wellbeing, and Person-centred commissioning principles, together with an understanding of wider trends in health and social care, housing, funding and commissioning
