The States of Guernsey are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join Corbiere Ward.Corbiere Ward is a 20 bedded unit that provides nursing care for people living with dementia whos needs cannot be met at home or in a community care setting.The post holder will be required to carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of a registered nurse, with minimal supervision.
They will ensure high quality individualised care is delivered to service users living with advanced dementia and other mental health diagnoses, maintaining privacy and dignity. The post holder will demonstrate skills to new or less experienced members of staff and participate in ward-based induction and orientation programmes.
They are responsible for ensuring that all their mandatory and statutory training is current. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the principles of our CARE values.
