The States of Guernsey are seeking an enthusiastic forward-thinking individual to develop the evolving Haematology services in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
With opportunity to focus the role on various specialisms of Haematology including Haemato-oncology and co-ordinate the overall service we are open to candidates with a range of different Haematological experience.
You will have direct input into the local laboratory and Biomedical Scientist team and opportunity to explore and develop relationships with UK tertiary providers to cover all areas of the service.
Your 10 PA contract will include 1.5 SPAs and additional SPA activity may be negotiated depending on the interests of the candidate. On-call requirements flexible and open to negotiation.
The successful applicant must have GMC registration & licence to practice and an up-to-date appraisal & revalidation portfolio.

Main duties of the job
You will work with Health and Social Care (HSC) managers and professional colleagues to
ensure the efficient delivery of clinical services. You are expected to observe the agreed
policies and procedures, which are drawn up in consultation with the profession on clinical
matters, and to follow the policies, standing orders and financial instructions of HSC, and
relevant personnel policies and procedures including those relating to health and safely.

Provide clinical Haematology care that includes outpatient, day care and inpatientreviews.
Take part and discuss the management of patients with malignant Haematologicaldisease at multi-disciplinary team meetings.

To deal with inpatient referrals and assist primary care practitioners with theirreferrals
