The vacant post is part time working 16 hours per week. The required weekly working pattern for this position is Monday's and Tuesday's: 08:00am - 17:00pm. Working 8 hours per day with a 1 hour unpaid break.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) centres, to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.

Job responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Informing General Dental Council of annual Continued Professional Development undertaken, when requested.
Undertake Continuous Professional Development in the core subject of medical emergencies, infection prevention control, disinfection and decontamination, radiography, and radiation protection; legal and ethical issues and handling complaints, as recommended by the General Dental Council.
Work independently in accordance with Joint Service Publication 950, Defence Primary Healthcare Standard Operating Procedures, Freedom to Speak Up documents and all other relevant policy and guidelines.
Carrying out booking in and out of electronic health records, using the Information Technology (IT) supplied, in line with current policies and procedures and actioning the appropriate registers. If requested by Practice Manager cover Receptionist duties.
