Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work alongside 2 part-time Band 5 (BD5) Pharmacy Technicians that job share. The post is unsupervised and requires jointly managing the day to day running of the Medical Centre dispensary at RAF Leeming. You will be responsible for delivering a consistently high-quality dispensary service and assists in the delivery of an effective medicines management service to entitled personnel within the multi-disciplinary medical centre and on behalf of the Senior Medical Officer.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures acquired through training at National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) 3 level, supervising a technical area within the dispensary and knowledge of medicines management, including relevant legislation and policies acquired through NVQ3 training.
