The vacant post is full time working 37 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.

Main duties of the job
To provide administrative and clinical support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Health Care (DPHC) Dental Centres (DC) to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations. This is to include maintenance of clinical sessions, on average at least 1 session per week, prioritised and directed from the Senior Dental Officer (SDO)/Regional Headquarters (RHQ) chain of command (CoC) as required. The timings for such sessions will depend on local staffing levels (effected by staff absence/local detachment/illness etc) in order to provide Civilian Dental Nurse (CDN) cover.
Civilian Dental Practice Manager (CPM) will, when in surgery be required to delegate some management tasks to Agenda for Change (AfC) Band 4 Dental Nurse(s) as is normal in a dental centre.
The CPM role may also include travelling to dental centres within the region other than their normal place of work either in a clinical or administrative capacity, as required.
