Job summary

This position offers 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

To support clinical staff in the care of Service Personnel (SP) receiving Rehabilitation. The role will include but is not limited to support of Activities of Daily Living, monitoring, observations, venepuncture, IPC and equipment care. Additional skills and training can be acquired in role that will expand the Health Care Assistants (HCA's) scope of practice under supervision.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Main details of the role include but are not limited to:

Assist with patient hygiene, elimination and mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking- whilst observing and reporting specific changes.
Perform and report clinical observations of a patients respiratory rate, oxygen saturations, heart rate, blood pressure (BP), temperature.
Following training and gaining of appropriate competencies, perform venepuncture.
Supporting patients in becoming as independent as possible following injury as part of their rehabilitation journey.
Be trained in perform basic life support, and work alongside practitioners in the emergency management of patients.
