We are looking to recruit a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic MOD General Practitioner to work alongside our Primary Healthcare Team.

This post is located at Weeton Barracks, Kirkham, Preston, PR4 3JQ,

The vacant post is a part-time position working 22 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team within the Medical Practice to provide primary and occupational Healthcare in line with General Medical Council (GMC) Standards to ensure that the organisational and Senior Medical Officer's (SMO) objectives are achieved to optimise patient care.

Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

Maximise the levels of health, wellbeing, and employability of Service personnel to ensure the needs of the single Services are met.

Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and provide appropriate occupational healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.

Providing appropriate preventative medical advice to both individuals and Chain of Command.

Appropriately supervise the management of communicable diseases, including monitoring and reporting through single Service chains.

Being adaptable and able to respond to changing priorities working within a unique environment.
