Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Performing highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessments of patients referred by Consultants and Medical Officers (MO) from across the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Program; presentations will include diverse, complex, and chronic physical and psychological conditions and sports and training injuries. To use clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
• Acting as an integral component of the specialist Multi-disciplinary Injury Assessment Clinic (MIAC), working across a wide range of codes of practice and broad occupational policies.
• Formulating, developing and delivering a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment, and appropriate clinical reasoning.
• Leading in development of junior Specialist Physiotherapists, offering advice and help with more complex conditions both within the Practice and across the DPHC Region.
• Assisting the Healthcare Governance Lead in developing protocols to enhance the clinical development and efficacy of clinics and Special Interest Groups.
• Managing and prioritising own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively
