Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Providing general healthcare to all registered patients during normal practice hours.
• Maximising the levels of health, wellbeing, and employability of Service personnel to ensure the needs of the single Services are met.
• Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and provide appropriate occupational healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.
• Appropriately supervising the management of communicable diseases, including monitoring and reporting through single Service chains.
• Representing the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) on Medical Practice related issues where necessary, including participation in unit health committees where appropriate.

Selection Process

If found successful for this position, you will be required to provide evidence of your immunity to Hepatitis B. Qualifications

Essential

• Doctors will be required to provide a Certificate of Prescribed Equivalent Experience or Statement of Acquired Rights (now known as Certificate of Completion of Training) from the Joint Committee in Post Graduate Training in General Practice (JCPGT(GP)).
• Doctors will also need to hold a Post Graduate Training Certificate in General Practice and a Certificate of General Practice Vocational Training (GPVT).
