We are looking for a motivated, professional and hard-working Band 4 Practice nurse to join our committed, welcoming team based at Dental Centre Linchfield WS14 9PY.

This is a part time role consisting of 16 hours per week split over 8 hours Wednesday and 8 hours on a Thursday. If this sounds like it could be for you, please apply.

Main duties of the job

As the successful candidate you will be expected to provide clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Heath Care (Dental) (DPHC(D)) dental centres, to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.

Job responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Informing General Dental Council of annual Continuing Professional Development undertaken, when requested.

  • Undertaking Continuing Professional Development in the core subject of medical emergencies, infection prevention control (IPC), disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection; legal and ethical issues and handling complaints, as recommended by the General Dental Council.

  • Ensuring their surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days patients in accordance with current regulations.

  • Caring out and record daily maintenance, servicing and pre-use checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies.
