We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed, and professional Civilian Dental Practitioner (CDP) to join our Primary Health Care team here at Dental centre Det 3 Dental Gp, Warminster Trg Cent, Warminster BA12 0DJ.

This role is a permanent position consisting of 37 hours per week,requests to work part-time or job share will be considered, taking into accounts business needs, and the salary will be pro-rata where part-time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job

Overall, your aim is to maximise the deployability of the Population at Risk for whom you are responsible.

A CDP is responsible for providing clinical outputs, improving, and managing the dental health and operational fitness of service personnel.

Within your contracted 37 weekly hours, 2 hours may be attributed to nonclinical activities including practice meetings, training, and personal administration. The remainder of the contracted hours are to be utilised to provide clinical outputs and work will be directed towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of personnel for whom you are responsible.

Inspecting all personnel for whom they are responsible at intervals in line with the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines and providing follow up treatment as required.

Work collaboratively with professional colleagues and in the best interest of patients.

Ensuring that surgery management, documentation including consumable stores, the safe custody of personal sensitive data and the maintenance of equipment is always kept to a high standard.

Onward referral of personnel to enhanced practitioners, specialists, or consultants for treatment as appropriate

Due to COVID 19, there is now a requirement for dental clinical staff to be fit tested for a FFP3 mask, which has to be worn when managing a patient who is undergoing an aerosol generating procedure (AGP) the successful candidate will be fit tested prior to commencing employment.

The successful applicant will have contact with patients and service users. In-line with the NHS England approach, MOD is in the process of making full vaccination a condition of deployment for its healthcare workers employed across the UK. In order to comply with our duty of care, we require our staff to have the COVID vaccine and we will ask for proof of vaccination status during the recruitment process. Access to the CS pension scheme is available to the successful candidate.

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.
