DMS are looking for a Band 8A National Clinical Pathway Manager for Mental Healthbased at Whittington.

This position offers 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be a highly experienced, motivated, flexible and dynamic clinical leader who is able to lead on the development and delivery of a specialised occupational mental health service. The post holder will be accountable for the design, implementation, monitoring, and quality assurance of Mental Health care pathways The role also involvesdesigning and providing specialist high-quality person-centred care which always considers peoples safety, privacy and dignity using extensive clinical knowledge that is evidence based.

Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

  • Designing safe, evidence-based, cost-effective care pathways that focus on the individual needs of the patient in order to deliver optimal functional recovery, maximise employability and restore operational deployability.
  • Monitoring clinical effectiveness and timeliness of care pathways in order to set the baseline for systematic service improvement.
  • Ensuring patient safety and confidentiality is maintained In accordance with (IAW) Strategic Command (StratCom) and DPHC policy and guidance e.g. Caldicott, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), Equipment Care, Health and Safety and Safeguarding.
  • Being responsible for the generation and collation of reports on own practice and that of team on service delivery related to local and national targets. Provide monthly reports to Healthcare Governance and other relevant meetings.
  • Being involved proactively in developing strategies and undertaking activities that monitor and improve the quality of healthcare and the effectiveness of their own and others practice.
