Main duties of the job
DMRC Stanford Hall is a part of Strategic Command. The Unit provides a rehabilitation service for the Defence
Medical Services (DMS).
The Band 3 Healthcare Assistant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and deliver 24 hour care, on a shift rota basis, to
patients providing both nursing and non-nursing duties.

Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with patient hygiene, elimination and mobility, physical comfort, eating and drinking whilst observing and reporting specific changes.
- Performing and reporting clinical observations of a patients respiratory rate, oxygen saturations,
heart rate, Blood Pressure (BP), temperature and peak flow.
- Following training and gaining of appropriate competencies, performing venepuncture.
- Performing basic life support, and working alongside practitioners in the emergency management
of patients.
- Completing a patients basic admission procedure in preparation for professional assessment,
fully utilising Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP).
