At the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Stanford Hall, we are an inclusive and dedicated organisation working to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel. We provide consultant-led, interdisciplinary rehabilitation for patients with multiple and complex physical and psychosocial needs.
DMRC is an exciting and fast paced organisation. We seek to sustain and improve the operational efficiency of injured service personnel through the provision of high-quality, bespoke and evidence-informed rehabilitation.
We are seeking a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Specialist Rehabilitation team.
This full-time position offers the successful candidate 37.5 working hours per week.

Main duties of the job
- Assessing complex patients with a range of diagnoses, identifying, developing and implementing appropriate specialist rehabilitation programmes based on clear clinical reasoning, highly specialist knowledge and experience of a range of procedures and conditions underpinned by sound theory and evidence-based practice.
- Maintaining up to date, accurate patient records in line with professional practice guidelines and produce specialist reports where appropriate.
- Working within an IDT (interdisciplinary team) in the interpretation of assessment results and recommendations based on clinical need as part of the larger rehabilitation process.
- Establish and implement individualised management and treatment plans alongside the IDT, using clinical reasoning and utilising a wide range of evidence informed assessment and treatment skills.
- Assessing and interpreting a range of complex factors relating to the patients condition which will impact on their ability to carry out their activities of daily living including their ability to return to work.
- Being a highly effective communicator whilst demonstrating skills in empathy, reassurance, and the ability to motivate others.
