Job summary
Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and adaptable Consultant located at RAF Honington in Bury St Edmunds.
The successful applicant will be joining a
dynamic MDT of clinicians supporting the Defence Rehabilitation Service, which
includes Primary Care Rehabilitation Facilities (PCRFs), Regional
Rehabilitation Units (RRUs) and the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre,
Stanford Hall. These posts are to support the RRUs intermediate care MSK
service.
This role offers 24 hours per week and the salary will be pro rata for the part time hours undertaken.
Main duties of the job
Some of the duties involve but are not limited to:
a. Provision of a timely and effective
rehabilitation service to all appropriately referred serving personnel.
b. Intelligent triage, early assessment, and
appropriate management of patients referred to the RRU.
c. Ensure all clinical activity is documented
in line with single Service guidelines and Defence Rehabilitation record
keeping policy.
d. Clinical decision-making on further
investigation, intervention or referral of complex patients attending Multidisciplinary
Injury Assessment Clinic (MIAC).
