Are you a Band 6 Physiotherapist looking for an exciting role, working

within the Brize Norton Primary
Care Rehabilitation Facility
(PCRF), RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, Oxfordshire.
The vacant
post is full time, working 37.5 hours per week. Part-time candidates will be
considered but due to service delivery requirements it must be on a job share
basis as full-time hours need to be covered.
This post attracts a National Health Service (NHS) long term fixed rate Regional Retention Allowance (RRA).

Main duties of the job
The successful
post holder will ensure the provision of a comprehensive and professional
physiotherapy and rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This includes
undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in the musculoskeletal and
sports and training injury area.
They will provide a positive caring environment, in which patients can expect a high quality
professional service.

Job responsibilities
Main details of the role include but are not limited to:
- Performing highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners (GPs) and other Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical conditions and sports injuries. Using clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
- Formulating, developing and delivering a specialised, individualised treatment programme based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
- Communicating effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, good understanding of their conditions and maximising their rehabilitation potential. Patients may have barriers to communication e.g. English as their second language.
- Advising the Senior Medical Officer (SMO) with regard to specialist physiotherapy recommendations.
- Managing and prioritising your own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring the provision of complex clinical reports to supply clinical prognoses and comprehensive discharge planning for
both referring source and ongoing patient care under other health
professionals.
- Assisting in identifying training needs and organising in-service training for the unit medical facility.
