Working hours are 37.5 hours per week. Requests to work

This post attracts a Retention Allowance (RRA) of £1500 per annum (pro rata for part-time) and General Dental Council (GDC) Registration Fee reimbursement.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare Dental (DPHC D) dental centres, to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.

Job responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
- Managing the patient appointment system and patient dental records (manual and electronic).
- Ensuring surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days' patients in accordance with current regulations.
- Reviewing the appointment diary at the start of each planned procedure and ensuring the appropriate instrument sets are selected.
- Meeting the needs of the patients by monitoring, supporting and reassuring each individual according to their specific needs, providing appropriate advice when required.
- Ensuring adequate stocks of consumable dental materials are available within the surgery, maintaining an effective expiry list and ensuring all expired materials are removed and replaced as required.
