Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary primary healthcare team delivering general medical services and elements of occupational health to military personnel and entitled civilian personnel. The Practice Nurse is responsible for the delivery of appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care needs, medical screening and advice to patients within their professional competence.

Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • To assess the needs of patients and delivering care against recognised models of care
  • To conduct medicals for military personnel
  • To develop an understanding of occupational health protocols for military staff
  • To act as a mentor to students, nurses, trainee primary healthcare nurses and military medical assistants

There will be no reimbursement for any travel expenses for the interview.
