Job summary

Here at Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Civilian Dental Practice Manager to join our lively and friendly team of staff located at Huntingdon Cambridgeshire.

The DPHC is a fast paced working environment which looks to sustain and improve the operational efficiency for service personel by providing high quality dental care.

This post will be 37.5 hours, requests to work flexibly or part time will be considered while taking into account bussiness needs.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide administrative and clinical support for the provision of dental care in Defence Primary Healthcare Dental Centres (DC), to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations.

This post may also include travelling to dental centres within the region other than their normal place of work either in a clinical or administratice capacity as required.

Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Be responsible for the management and supervision of the appointment system. Undertaking routine reception duties as required.
  • Manage dental records.Ensuring the correct receipt, dispatch, registration and storage of health records hastening any outstanding documentation as required.
  • Liaise with local commanders to ensure periods of force generation are effectively managed to maximise the number of personnel dentally fit to deploy on operations.
  • Be responsible for the demand, issue, receipt and control of Medical and Dental equipment.

The sift will be completed within 5 working days of the vacancy closing date. Interviews will be held on a date to be confirmed.
