Are you a professional, motivated Band 5 Dental Hygienist and do you want only the best for your patients?

This role offers 37.5 hours per week and applications from part time or job share to cover these hours are welcome, all requests to work flexibly will be considered, allowing for business needs. The salary will be pro-rata where part-time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for team player who is highly efficient and professional. You will primarily provide dental treatment, oral hygiene instruction, education and administration.

This includes working towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of entitled personnel. While also ensuring the implementation of aims and objectives in accordance with Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Dental Policies and Procedures.

Job responsibilities

Providing dental hygiene treatment in line with their approved scope of practice as per GDC guidelines and in accordance with agreed patient group directive.

Ensuring surgeries are prepared appropriately for the days patients, conforming to current regulations.

Carrying out and recording daily maintenance, servicing and pre-use checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies.

Accurately recording treatment on each patient's electronic health record on Defence Medical Information Capability Programme (DMICP).

Reporting any appointment delays or Failure to Attend (FTAs) to the Practice Manager, receptionist and/or patient as appropriate.
