Main duties of the job
The duties of the successful candidate will include providing clinical and administrative support for the provision of dental care in
Defence Primary Healthcare Dental Centres and to enhance force generation and
operational capability while being able to minimise dental morbidity on operations.

Duties and responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining their GDC registration and appropriate indemnity
- Ensuring systems are in place to allow patients to claim approved costs
associated with the provision of dental care and work with the unit administration
(admin) staff to ensure these costs are correctly audited, informing the Regional
Headquarters of all expenditure.
- Liaising with local commanders to ensure periods of force generation are
effectively managed to maximise the number of personnel dentally fit to deploy on
operations.
- Completing Service persons Joint Appraisal Report and mid-term appraisals for
all staff whom they have Reporting Officer (RO) responsibilities, in a timely fashion
