This position is 11 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
The successful postholder will provide primary and occupational Healthcare in line with General Medical Council
(GMC) Standards to ensure that the organisational and Principal/Senior Medical Officer's
(PMO/SMO) objectives are achieved to optimise patient care. The Post Holder will work
as part of a multidisciplinary primary healthcare team within a Group Practice delivering
general medical services and elements of occupational health to military personnel. The
Group Practice is formed of three sites (the others being Hyde Park and Woolwich) and the
Post Holder may be required to work on occasion across these sites.

Duties and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Providing general healthcare to all registered patients during normal practice hours.
- Maximising the levels of health, wellbeing and employability of Service personnel to
ensure the needs of the single Services are met.
- Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and provide appropriate occupational
healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.
- Providing appropriate preventative medical advice to both individuals and Chain of
Command.
- Participating fully in any practice out of hours rota, but where applicable the level of
commitment being based on a pro-rata basis for part-time staff. This should not
include providing cover for planned military absences.
