We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, organised and hardworking Band 6 Practice Nurse to join our multi-disciplined vibrant and fast paced organisation working at Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose,Helston.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary primary healthcare team, leading the delivery of primary healthcare nursing including elements of occupational health.

This position is being advertised at 30 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and carrying out care programmes directly to patients to meet their nursing care needs in accordance with evidence-based practice.
  • Being proactive in the development of Service and organisational initiatives. Working within the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • Demonstrating good practice in record keeping and confidentiality whilst maintaining NMC standards and military guidelines, whilst undertaking technical nursing treatments for patients with complex/specialist healthcare
  • Initiating and participating in audit within the setting. Evaluating the outcome of research and audit and leading the improvements in practice.

Being able to work unsupervised and provide nursing care to the medical centre population in conjunction with the DPHC team. Including the continual responsibility for the assessment of care needs whilst providing a range of clinical and management services.
