These positions offer 37 hours per week, one position allowing for Full Time hours only. For the other positions offers to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs. Please note the salary will be pro-rata where part time hours are undertaken.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Social Worker enables a proactive Social Work Service comprising early assessment of patients and carer needs, risk assessment, safeguarding of adults and children at risk, counselling and support, advocacy, social care case management and rapid and timely access to resources. This will contribute significantly to the successful rehabilitation of patients back to maximal possible health and operational fitness or reintegration and transition into civilian life.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Delivering good outcomes for adults through completing timely assessments to determine the needs and risks to the patient or their family and implementing effective care plans that safeguard vulnerable adults.
- Providing a social work service at DMRC that conforms to the regulations and best practice guidelines set out by Social Work England (SWE).
- Effectively up-dating the interdisciplinary treating team of the social welfare needs of patients and any potential impact that this may have upon their capacity to successfully rehabilitate back to maximal possible health and operational fitness or discharge, reintegration and transition into civilian life.
