Job summary

We are Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) and we are searching for a professional, motivated Band 5 Dental Hygienist to join our encouraging and friendly team at Dental Centre Harrogate. DPHC is an inclusive and dedicated organisation working hard to provide excellent care to our entitled personnel.

You would treat entitled military personnel, working to improve their dental health to allow them to perform their duties.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will primarily provide dental treatment, oral hygiene instruction & education, administration, plus working towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of entitled personnel.

There will be a requirement to travel to Dental Centre Leconfield (HU17 7LX) for approximately 8-16 hours per week.

This is a Full-Time only role and the successful applicant will be working 37.5 hours per week.

  • Knowledge of range of oral health procedures; acquired through training to degree level or to diploma level plus experience to degree equivalent level.
  • Current full General Dental Council registration.

Desirable

  • Evidence of indemnity cover for general dental practice.
  • Evidence of currency with GDC CPD requirements.
  • Be prepared to contribute to the development of staff skills and knowledge.
  • Confidence in using Information Technology.
  • Experience of Healthcare Governance and Leadership.
