We are looking to recruit a dynamic, organised and enthusiastic Civilian Dental Practitioner who will be working within our team, here at Dental Centre Pirbright, Army Training Centre Pirbright, Brunswick Road.
Please note this is a part time position, working 21.5 hours per week. Please note the salary will be pro rata.
This is a fixed term appointment until 25th May 2023, due to maternity cover.

The part time 21.5 hours per week are to be covered Monday - Thursday 0800-1700 and on Friday 0800-1330. The successful Fixed Term Appointment post holder and recruiting line manager should agree the job plan in line with the business requirement, as mentioned.
Main duties of the job
As a Civilian Dental Practitioner, you will be resourced to provide clinical outputs and work should be directed towards improving and maintaining the dental health and operational fitness of service personnel.
You will also be expected to undertake non-clinical activities including, but not limited to, practice meetings, training and personal administration.

Civilian Dental Practitioners are responsible to the Senior Dental Officer (SDO). Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Inspecting all personnel for whom they are responsible at intervals in line with The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines and providing follow up treatment as required.
Providing an occupational oral health assessment, being fully conversant with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) Dental Fitness categorisation.

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.
Sift will be completed within 5 working days. The selection at sift stage will be based on your application. At interview, you will be tested against the following Civil Service Behaviours:

Due to COVID 19, there is now a requirement for dental clinical staff to be fit tested for a FFP3 mask, which has to be worn when managing a patient who is undergoing an aerosol generating procedure (AGP) the successful candidate will be fit tested prior to commencing employment.
