Lead Developer (Web & Apps)

Job summary

The purpose of the Lead Developer (Web/App) role is to lead on the development and maintenance of SCW internal and external customer projects and information systems.

The role will require working on the projects assigned to the team under the direction of the Product Development Manager/Senior Application Architect or relevant lead. It is expected that the role holder will work as part of a team utilising development standards and working practices as defined by SCW.

Main duties of the job

  • Development of software solutions under the direction of the Senior Application Architect.
  • Managing a small team of developers and leading on standards that they should follow.
  • Commit to working and engaging constructively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working with the projects team to lead in the design and implement solutions for SCW and its customers.
  • Lead in the direction of technology choices, development tools and techniques used by the team.
