Job summary

A critical role in ensuring integrated business technology strategy and delivery of effective solutions and services is the Solutions Architect position. The post holder will be responsible for providing technology solutions architecture and design leadership to national, regional, and local customers across England, ensuring that technology solutions and service aligns to the required business and operational outcomes necessary to support the objectives of our health and care customers.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and undertaking solutions architecture and design activities for SCW customers as part of significant and complex projects and other initiatives
  • Working as part of multi-disciplinary consultancy delivery teams to ensure that technology solutions are efficient, robust, secure, and aligned with agreed outcomes and roadmaps
  • Leading technical components of significant and complex consultancy work to time quality and cost
  • Providing digital and technology strategic advice and guidance to NHS, Local Authority and third sector customers

You will be a key player in the development of the Architecture function within SCW's Transformation team and, in partnership with Enterprise Architects, Solutions Architects, Digital Business Analysts, User Centred Design specialists and health and care subject matter experts ensuring a consistent, robust and professional approach to architecture and solution design.

About us

The candidate:

You should be educated to degree level or have equivalent, demonstrable experience. Knowledge and experience of solutions architecture and design within significant and complex projects is required, ideally in a healthcare context. In addition, you should be delivery minded, curious and tenacious to drive new ways of working and technology implementation to achieve step changes in delivery capability.
