Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the IT Service and Technology Management team, for a full-timeDisaster Recovery Manager. We are looking for a enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with keen attention to detail, to support SCW systems' continuing resilience and to lead on DR service recovery assurance.

This is a key role in defining and supporting SCW key recovery requirements and ensuring the resilience essential business systems within the DDaT service line.

Main duties of the job

  • Performing complex backup and recovery systems analysis and support work.
  • Reviewing SCW & customer requirements, procedures, and policies to improve existing backup infrastructure.
  • Participating in planning and specifying procedures for accomplishing work within team.
  • Managing the administration, maintenance, and testing of new server backup software products for the backup infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and assuring that third party contracts related to disaster recovery and back up sevices remain aligned to SCW requirements.
  • Define and support key SCW recovery requirements and objectives
  • Support SCW systems' continuing resilience, and timely recovery following the occurrence of an outage or major disaster that results in the partial or complete disruption of IT operations.
  • Lead activities to ensure that DR service recovery plans are fully developed, documented, and tested by plan owners. Effectively align the IT DR activities with those of the Business Continuity Management team.

About us

The holder of the role will be expected to mentor and lead junior members of the SCW Technical Operations Team.
