Job summary

As a result of internal promotion SCW is offering a fantastic opportunity within the Internal HR Team for one permanent band 6 People Advisor to support the internal People Team in the delivery of a generalist HR service to a number of internal SCW directorates. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in the relevant subject or have obtained the equivalent level of experience by working at a similar level in a specialist area and will be fully or part CIPD Level 5 qualified.

Main duties of the job

The main duties for the People Advisor role includes:

  • Providing HR operational support to the People Manager for the dedicated Directorate and wider internal People Team.
  • Developing key relationships with internal SCW customers and members of the People team.
  • Providing HR operational support to employee relations casework including, disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, performance and absence management.
  • Supporting HR projects and service improvement plans while continually reviewing processes to ensure the provision of a high-quality customer services.
  • Providing operational support to TUPE transfers and complex change programmes
  • Working collaboratively with HR colleagues to design and present training events in respect of HR policies and guidance materials, when required.
  • To be able to work autonomously.

About us

The People Advisor vacancy is within the internal People Team supporting a multi directorate workforce. The successful candidate will report to a People Manager responsible for the Directorate and will work collaboratively across the organisation to provide advice, support and casework management. The People Advisor will be joining a supportive People Team and will work autonomously to support People Managers and internal customers by providing exceptional generalist operational HR support.
