Job summary

If you would like to drive and shape agendas and help to use innovation to make sure the right people are in the right place, then this could be the role for you.

An ideal candidate would be passionate about using their wide range of experience, skills, and knowledge across a range of workforce subjects to deliver innovative, impactful, and collaborative solutions within a project, programme and consultancy environment.

Facing lots of new challenges and environments, you will need to be able to quickly assess stakeholder needs and then develop plans and solutions accordingly. Often working with teams from across SCW, you will need to be able to quickly adapt and prioritise.

As we expand our workforce consultancy offer, we are particularly interested in applicants who can work across a variety of spaces, from workforce planning and development through to resourcing and operational workforce management. In this instance, you will ideally hold a range of specific workforce subject matter experience around workforce management and deployment, such as e-rostering, medical staffing and temporary staffing management, Trust level strategic resourcing and HR systems and workforce data.

Main duties of the job

You could be embedded in a multidisciplinary team working on a nationally recognised programme; you could work on short turn around pieces of work for local providers. You may even be working on both at the same time.

Very few weeks look the same, and for an individual seeking to extend their skillset and grow professionally this may be the ideal role, combining workforce expertise with strong project and programme management and consultancy.

You will be working with various workforce programme managers to manage delivery of a range of projects and programmes across a range of areas of workforce expertise.

About us

For a small but growing team we pack a punch! The range of work we get involved in is extraordinary and so it's a great opportunity to be creative, deliver innovative approaches and changes, offering constant opportunities to learn and therefore build on your portfolio. We also have a great network both internally and externally due to our project range, so you get to see the best of what SCW, and the NHS has to offer and get to work closely with other teams to deliver projects and programmes.

This role will report to either a Workforce Programme Manager or the Workforce Programme Director.
